Miami Herald published a report by Dawn Lehman from the University of Washington. I read the article, and, in my opinion, it provides an accurate assessment of the sequence of events that led to the Champlain building's collapse. Talking to other Engineers about possible causes for the failure of the building, most of the opinions line up with the findings in the report. It is an interesting read if you are interested in the topic. The link for the article is https://www.miamiherald.com/news/special-reports/surfside-investigation/article256633336.html. The article might be behind a paywall, but you can get a trial subscription if you aren't interested in subscribing to the Miami Herald.
