This is a great deal of references. Regarding the new CBT for the transportation, it appears that it is close books with reference being provided via PDF during the test. From what I understand the only reference provided is something along the lines of the CERM via PDF. The 5 books provided in your course are just offered in order to understand the material better... but it will not be able to assist us during the test since its close book, correct? Nevertheless I am still interested and would like to learn more.

Hi! I have all the references in pdf.
Hi! Can I get those references in pdf? I purchased the EET Transpo course today and downloaded the latest reference manual from NCEES. However, I don't have the pdf formats for any of the references listed on NCEES that will be provided on exam day.

As far as references go, the most important ones are the following ones: PE civil handbook by NCEES, HCM, AASHTO GREENBOOK, Highway Safety Manual, MUTCD, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide. Get familiar with HCM and Greenbook. You will not be able to search the entire doc. Only can only search by chapters during the test and the HCM has 31 chapters. Green Book has 10 I think. There are extra references that you'll have access to but in my opinion, they were all easy to search thru.

I did SofPE and they did NOT provide you with the above references for the course I am guessing EET is the same. I googled each reference and found some websites that had access to them for a fee. Pay the fee and download the copies. There are many websites that provide the same service... too many to name. Some of these websites provide a cheaper version of the manuals which means they are photocopies (you can't search thru them). It sounds terrible but it was cheaper and it forced me to read thru the manuals and get familiar with each chapter. Especially for the HCM and the GB. During the test, you will only be able to search thru a chapter, not the entire manual. So, knowing exactly which chapter to go to will pay off. Overall I think I ended up spending about $500 on these lower-quality copies. But if you buy all the manuals from their official websites, you could end up spending about $1200.

PM if you have any more questions. Good luck. Cheers

Both courses cover all the necessary topics as outlined by the NCEES, with a focus on the Transportation PM Module. This comprehensive coverage is essential for thorough preparation. The inclusion of essential textbooks and reference materials, such as the AASHTO guides and the Highway Safety Manual, is a significant advantage.
