Here is the problem 318-05 is the current standard by NCEES terms, however, it is not available. I purchased 318-08

I am assuming that NCEES will continue to use 318-05 until they say otherwise, not fair to me but fair to those who could get

318-05. What are the differences or where are they documented? I know there are some siginifcant changes in Section 9 and 10 and should I absolutly use the values from 318-05.

Thanks

Hi EnvEngineer,

The IBC says that the 318-05 is the way to go, therefore that will be the code used on all the tests (and '08 could give you the wrong results). I believe that the ACI lets you download historic pdf's of all past material on their website. Also ebay, or a lot of engineering websites (like wikiengineer have either concrete examples, or concrete books for sale (EB has a for sale board)).

I know that concrete anchors, and some design factors have changed (concrete anchor design became very hard). But since it's not required by code to us '08 yet i've shied away from it.

Another issue is you'll only need the ACI if you're taking the structural depth. From the looks of your screen name i would assume you're taking WR or ER. If so I think you're overstudying and should be fine with what's in the CERM. If you are taking structural, good choice, but i'd snag a 318-05 from your office or a friend before taking the test.
