That plane and the F4U are my two favorite aircraft design stories.

I love that plane. It's been around for a long time, now. I remember that Volkswagon picture from one of the airplane books my Dad bought me when I was still in grade school. I remember building one of the first plastic models of the A-10 when it became available, probably around 1981 or so. It's still at my parents house, and my son played with it last time I was there.

Mine too. I'm still a little disappointed that they apparently aren't over here anymore. I found some pictures on the server from '07, I think, that showed a couple but now it looks like it's all C-130's, F-16's, and F-18's.
