Hi all, I took the Civil FE for the first time last week and was pretty confident about it. I studied only for about 3 weeks (during my winter break) about 5-6 hours a day. I created a solid study plan and focused my time on my stronger subjects (Transpo, Hydraulics, Geotech, Env, Mathematics, Ethics and Construction). I mainly used the videos from Marshall University and my FE prep book (FE Civil Review - Michael Lindeburg) to brush up on old subjects. I was also pretty familiar with the cheat sheet thats given on the test, I used it during my studying and knew where everything was
Hello EB friends, Today I learned the sad news that I did not pass the Mechanical PE (Machine Design & Materials) exam for the THIRD time. To be quite honest I am numb at the moment and not sure how to feel, part of me is happy that this could mean that I get my life back, no more studying, but the other part of me says that I’ve invested too much time and money on this to simply walk away. A little bit about me: · Graduated in 1996 and haven’t really used thermal, machine design, let alone HVAC engineering principles in my career since then. The closest I come
Hello everyone, Yesterday I received the sad news that I did not pass the Mechanical PE exam. According to the NCEES diagnostic report my score was 38/80 which was about the same as what I scored during the practice test. My discipline was Mechanical Systems/Materials. This is obviously not the result that I was hoping for especially after all the time, effort and dedication that I put into this. When I saw the word “Fail” in that little red box next to my result, I was crushed. From the get-go I knew this wouldn’t be easy as I graduated 20 years ago and haven’t touched this stuf
Hello All: I am a new member. I would love some advise as to how I can tackle this monster (PE). A little background, this is my second attempt at the PE. The first time I took it, due to unforeseen events I was not able to study or get a refund so I showed up with the Camara PE Reference Manual, NCEES Sample Exam, Complex Imaginary Vol 3, Stevenson Power System Analysis, NEC. I failed. This time around I put in 100+ hours of studying, and got a similar score. I don't know where to start, I stare at my diagnostic in shock. 45/80. Thank you.
