    Low salary offers

Are you still looking. Candidates with your background (LV/MV, ITS, SCADA, FA/FP and a PE) would be walking on water where I am. The job market is very strange and polarized. Jobs demand is high in some areas but extremely hard to fill due to high COL. Some popular states (CA, TX) are...

Looking for advice on which PE Exam to take (& when)

I would probably study for both and go from there. Having a PE in either field on resume is a plus. Good luck with your exam preparation!

    Career Change after PE licensure

I'd keep up with CE credits in electrical to maintain the electrical PE. Some general CEs (such as state mandated ethics or contracting courses might be applicable to all fields and certain will be useful in transportation as well.

    15 FE Exam Waiver

I got a waiver from MD. I passed my PE there.

Can I request FE exam waive with the Louisiana PE Board? AND To submit NCEES record, does uni need to put transcript request form in the seal envelop?

Did not know some states won't honor FE waiver even if you already passed the PE, which is a national exam. That's very silly/strange. Glad my work/position only requires a PE from any state!

    FE chemical or FE general?

I was in similar case as yours (many years out of school without the FE), never planned to focus in engineering fiedd but opportunities send me right into it. I opted to take my PE exam at a neighboring state, where the Board would allow me to sit for the PE exam without FE (I must submit proof...

    Hello from Judy (electrical engineer)

Congrats on passing the FE. Good luck in preparing for the PE. Some states in the US would waive the FE if you have been out of school for a long time, and you can show your related engineering work. The state boards would review your past work/projects and determine granting permission to...

Check the top 25 EAC/CM firms career pages (I work for one of them). Most of them are hiring and some positions are even remote. Agreed with previous poster - networking is crucial and everyone is connected.

    Low salary offers

Where are you located? And what industries are these companies you talked to? Around here (VA/DC/MD area), the range for 10+ years of exp engineers, with PE, would be 120K-150K.

Consulting / Freelance Work Where to Look?

It just never clicks for me

What prep courses did you take? School of PE worked well for me. Do not get discouraged. I would take some time off before pushing re-test. Try to rack up a few more years of experience (and if possible, broaden your experience from the areas you have been working in) before trying it again...
