What are you/your kids being for Halloween this year?

Me and the Mrs. are not dressing up (though we have been Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head before!).  But my 7 year old, my 4 year old, and my 1 year old are going to be Shredder (TMNT), Leggo KAI (Ninjago), and a Care Bear, respectively.  What about you/your kids?  :)

So what are you guys doing about the Equifax breach?

I did the basics so far, I think.  I went to Equifax's dedicated webpage to see if I was "potentially affected" by the breach.  Sure enough I was - as is every other single person I have spoken to about it.  :oS  Then I took them up on their offer to sign up for their free credit monitoring...

knight1fox3 or someone, please help! (computer malware/virus/pop-up scam window)

@knight1fox3 or another computer pro, please.....  Our home computer (Dell Inspiron 3647, W10, Microsoft Edge) has been experiencing this pop-up scam thing where, while surfing on-line, a new tab will open by itself and will include the screen shot shown below.  I can't exit out or close the web...

Do you lose your current pension if you switch agencies?

I was considering applying for an opening at a different city closer to home (getting kind of tired of my 30 mile, 45 minute commute).  But the CalPERS retirement formulas have all been reduced considerably.  So, I am grandfathered in at 2.7% @ 55 but I would go to 2.0% @ 60 if I were to change...

Wouldn't want to be Mrs. ptatohed today!

So what if we have had an armed security guard here ever since the San Bernardino shootings, I still think it is safer for me here at work than at home!

Can you guys help me sort out this movie streaming stuff?

I can be a little late sometimes to adopt evolving technology (ex. I use a 'dumb' tracfone, our latest model year car is 2005, and - at age 41 - I just got my first refrigerator with a water/ice dispenser.).  And, to that, I have pretty much always been a physical media guy.  CDs not MP3s...

BPELSG's 3 Sample CBT Exam Questions (Seismic)

Ok, while I love Survey, I lost probably 95% of all the stuff I learned about Seismic.      So, I am not even going to attempt to answer these three questions.  But, since I started a similar Survey thread, I figured it'd only be fair to start a Seismic version of the thread.  But...

I think I would come in here more if I could remember the stinkin password

For some reason, I have a mental block on the password.  I have to go back to my PM inbox and find it each time.  And that PM is getting deeper and deeper in my inbox as time goes on.  :S  Am I the only one?

    Gov't jobs and the holidays...

Anyone here get a year end/Christmas bonus?  Nothing here. Do you guys get an employer-paid holiday lunch/party?  Nothing here - we kick in our own money and do a catered lunch in one of the conference rooms.  How many paid days off do you guys have?  This year, we get Dec 23 and 26, and Jan 2.

... no it's not what you think you sickos!  I am up at 2:30am typing one-handed because I am holding my two-day old newborn, Emily Joan, cradled in my left arm as she sleeps (and as we let Mrs. ptatohed get some sleep).  Yup, our newest spud addition joins our tator tot (3) and fry (6).  I love...
