I agree with sac. Although there may be some chemistry in the morning, the majority of the breadth questions will be on straight hydraulics.

It took me 6 weeks to get see my license on the website. If you don't see yours soon, they may need something to complete your package. In my case they needed an updated picture.

I did civil / Environmental afternoon. I purchased all of the six minute solutions, which helped me WHIP through the morning. You will need more depth for your afternoon choice, though.

Inspection experience is good, but they are really going to want to see design experience. You should focus on highlighting design (if you can) - perhaps design or evaluation following inspections? You had better get moving though - I think the deadline is approaching

Be sure to use lanquage that makes it clear what YOU did - "I designed, I supervised, I checked....etc.

I think there is no limit in New York, I never bothered to check. It took me six times, though. (pretty scary)

In NY, they had a Jack Hammer going during the PE exam (Pratt Institute, Brooklyn) sometime around 2007, forgot whether it was Spring or Fall. That was classic.

Well, in case anyone cares - it is a year later, and I finally got my application in to sit for the CSP exam. As I expected they waived the Fundamentals exam (due to my PE), and are allowing me to go for the CSP title. Not nearly as exiting as the PE, but once it is over, an accomplishment...

Yep, last year I received my results on the 13th of January. NY'rs should just sit tight and enjoy the holiday.

Forget 50! You have to shoot for at LEAST a 56. You can not count on a low cut-off score - that is a sure way to come up short every time.

I read somewhere that only 11% of graduating engineers get their license. It may have been on the ASCE website.

New York does not give out an EIT certificate if you did not graduate from a ABET accredited school (that is what I was told by the state education dept. years ago) :mellow:
