Wow... Unfortunately, this is NASA, they don't pay the contracts unless they have money, and the civil servants will eventually get paid, but contractors won't, in fact, we can't even do paid leave, usually. 

If Congress doesn't get a CR through in the next 2 days (before annual recess), my husband and I get a free unpaid stay-cation until mid-January, wooo! Learn from my mistake, ya'll, don't both work for the same company or government agency
