I'm looking to take the SE exam a year from now. I don't plan on using a review course because I learn best studying on my own. Any tips?

Don't take more than one exam per weekend. That way you're not burnt out. Take your PE exam the day it's administered, take the Seismic the week before, take the Surveying the week after. (I'd take whichever one you feel more confident on first, to boost your confidence and practice for the...

Man... I had no problem waiting for the first 6 weeks. Once I saw the PE exam was released it's been so painful to wait! I think when I take the SE exam i'll be better off blocking engineerboards from my browser

@Not a PE If you need a surveying reference book, I've got PPI's brand new 2017 Surveying reference manual. I just used it for October 2017 and it's all I needed. I felt completely prepared for the exam with it. PPI sells it for $120. I'll give it to you for $100.

Someone who is not getting a passing score will not be as consistent on their subjects. That is because a greater portion of your questions are correct from guessing. Extreme examples - someone who knows everything 100% has no variation because nothing is left up to guessing. Someone who knows...
