    PE Seal & Stamp

From the statute, "The seal shall be of a design similar to those shown below and shall bear at minimum those elements specified above." Taken literally, this means it shall have a bear. A bare stamp is just not good enough. PE Stamps sells the bear. California Professional Engineer Stamp | PE...

New Jersey PE Renewal Process - CPC Audit

PA is the same. Use the NCEES to track CPC CPC Tracking | NCEES Very handy for tracking multiple states with different requirements and expiration dates. You upload certificates and NCEES sends them to the boards for free if necessary.

    Doing an MSEE without BSEE?

Not sure what state he is from, but Pennsylvania requires an undergraduate engineering curriculum at a college or university in the United States that was substantially equivalent to an ABET-accredited curriculum. Not sure if a computer science? major is substantially equivalent. The original...

Can I give exam in one state and apply for license from another state

For 1, Yes in most cases. Some states have a residency requirement, so obviously it won't work in that case. Definitely check with the state board. For 2, Texas requires a Texas EIT certificate. Use the NCEES record. Send SC results to NCEES, then from there send it to Texas.

Help for a Non-Traditional PE to Gain Licensure

If the concept of going back full/part-time for a qualifying degree is daunting, a PE license does not appear to be in the cards. One reason for PE licensing is to show employers the applicant actually attended a university, because many people lie about it on their resumé. I'm thankful there is...

    EIT Certifications

Typically the EIT is awarded after graduating from an ABET/EAC program and a passing score on the FE exam. Michigan does not allow those with and ABET/ETAC to be licensed. Engineering Technology degrees are ABET/ETAC accredited. There can be a background check, fingerprinting, ethics exam and/or...

    August Exam Results-Survey 2023

The vertical curve program is awesome. It steps you through the elevations for each station of the curve. The area by coordinates is great. Type in the coordinates, it tells you the area in square feet, acres, and the perimeter.

    August Exam Results-Survey 2023

If it's just surveying, you can get an HP-35s and program it with this: https://www.dot.state.mn.us/surveying/software/hp35s-programs.pdf It's menu-driven, and allows you to plug and play most all surveying problems. You won't have any memory left over for other engineering formulas though. You...

    KVL/KCL FE Electrical Question

Look at the first schematic. The only voltage applied across the three resistors (5, 10, and 20 Ohm) is the 100V battery. The 40 Ohm has 300V applied across it. This example is different. Each side is balanced with 3A * 1 Ohm = 3V on the left side, and 3 Ohm * 1A = 3V on the right side. 3V on...

    KVL/KCL FE Electrical Question

It's a tapped 300V battery. All 300V goes across the 40 ohm, but only 100V goes across the 5, 10, and 20 ohm resistors. The current through the 20 ohm is the same current that flows through the 5 and 10 ohm resistors, because all 3 are connected in series. Current is 100V / (5 + 10 + 20) Ohms =...

Surveying: SOPE or Dr Mansour's Course?

I went with the TI-36X Pro. There is a new version called the TI-30X PRO Mathprint. There were only a few DMS questions where the Casio would shine, but the TI works well for everything else. Hard to beat the TI feature that lets you pull down answers from above to use in current calculation.

Why does my license expire this year?

Mine wasn't modified. I had to pay the full price for just 5 months. The other state gave me 2 months for free. Still down 24-(5-2)=21 months.

Why does my license expire this year?

Bad timing. You should have waited till January to pass the exam. Good news is you don't need continuing education PDEs.

Do they give you any references, or are you on your own for all of them? Same thing for PTOE, not sure if they give you any refs like the PE.
