Voomie, the rates aren't the same as what a major engineering firm charges their clients. An individual has no overhead costs to factor in. They are also providing services for a friend. You can't compare apples and oranges.

You need more that. You don't even have what's on the NCEES Geotech depth exam specs. You should include at a minimum: 1. OSHA 2. ASCE 7-10 3. Geotechnical Engineers Portable Handbook 4. Das textbooks or some other soil mechanics and foundation textbooks.

Where is the gwt on the "dry" side? 

My wife bought a $10 digital watch from Academy. She youtubed how to keep your watch from beeping,  and she found out there is a spring you can easily take out of the watch... took her like 10 min, and she is by no means a tech guru. I was able to use the stopwatch function during the exam.

I feel like the questions were organized similarly to the NCEES specifications when I took the exam last October. They were somewhat grouped together. I skipped to the Geotech questions first and they were all towards the middle.

See if you can build that same ship out of concrete and make it float.

I see potential problems in seismic areas...

Based on pass rates posted by NCEES, Geotech is not the easiest. I took the exam last October. 25% of the questions are based upon experience.  You need to take a practice exam ASAP to see where you stand.

There are no questions pertaining to wastewater or water treatment in the civil breadth portion of the test.
