    EIT Mathematics- Study material

Just brush up on the stuff ... I wouldn't revisit 3 semesters of calculus or Diffy Q for this test. Remember, the problems are 2 minute problems. Most you will be able to solve with a calculator or lookup table. Make sure your algebra is rock solid, this is what you will need in the other...

Congratulations! Yeah, Nazrul is nothing short of amazing at what he does.

Better reference material Mansour or EET?

Mansour will provide better guidance if you choose to go your studies alone. EET binders will be of little use to you if you do not enroll in the class, they aren't a textbook, they are a supplement to the class. Whoever told you that the Green Book or HCM was unnecessary, regardless of what...

Copy of book in a binder allowed for exam?

3 ring binders are fine, as are those plastic type bindings. I had a few things stapled with those heavy-duty staples and they took them

OPINION: 300 Hour CE PE Study Recommendation should be Revisited

I brought almost 20 years experience, and 500+ hours of study over the course of a year to the exam. I'm pretty sure I got the highest grade anyone has ever scored on the exam. But I do think 300 (lets say 200 QUALITY) hours is a good benchmark for your average dude or dudette. There are very...

Failed, opinions on study course (CE Structural)

It's a little bit of both. I don't know any structural stuff so I really struggled here. Wouldn't have mattered who the instructor was. But the the guy for EET structural (not the seismic dude), is definitely the weak link as far as awesomeness goes. He is brilliant, and maybe if you're taking...

    Advice for 2nd time

Dude, if you're trying to pass this thing, you can't be going on vacation(s). This test is serious, and you need to treat it as such. This is precisely the reason why I took the exam in April though, I knew I wouldn't want to study during the summer. But you're in a different boat. You're a...

    Advice for 2nd time

If you wait a year you are basically starting over from zero .... take it in the Fall, and take the EET course on demand

My Garmin is telling me that I passed this test already, and therefore, have no need know what a zero-force member is or does.

Someone found a fitbit file from a testaker in October ....seems like this was just implemented for this test cycle. NCEES is getting killed on their facebook page.

The effective time to prepare for PE exam

I put in about 500 hours over the course of 1 year, with the first 6 months really just building references, highlighting and tabbing the CERM (which I didn't use once on the exam). Then probably about 100 hours preparing for the EET review course, and then easily 200+ hours on the EET review...
