How many do I need to get right to pass the PM?

If you get 60 or more total correct you will pass. Any number less than that is anyone's guess.

    Tips for Maryland Test Takers

Let me add to this if I may: The wooden chairs do not sit proportional to the height of the table, i.e. the chairs are too low for the table. I ended up sitting on a Steel manual the entire test. Plan for this, because it really threw me for a loop when I sat down. The clear bin thing is real...

    Quiz #30

Bust this is saying vp, which is the demand flow rate, is 1820. This train of thought leads you to solve for S using the breakpoint equation. This flow rate would put you at LOS D on this freeway.

    Question about binding reference material

I wouldn't go in with those things .... I had stuff bound with heavy stables, in book form, and they took the stuff from me. Three ring binder, or if you use those brad things (or heavy duty staples) put a report cover on the stuff.

    Quiz #30

You definitely don't want to use 2400 here ..... that is one car above LOS F

    Quiz #30

I was curious about this as well. But the HCM says multiplying by PHF gives service "volume" not flow rate. 11-23 and 11-24 of HCM is what I'm looking at

    Pencil marks in reference material

All I can say is this ..... If you have 300 some pages of something you want to bring, and you staple them into a neat little book and bring them to MD, they will not consider these "bound." Put little plastic covers on said 300 pages with a binder edge, and boom ... you are bound. Don't ask me.

    Quiz #30

OK so I did this a little differently, which is why I wanted to review this with you guys. I didn't bring density into this problem when I solved, and as you can see when you guys did, you get a flow rate of 1800+ which exceeds the MSF for LOS 'C' fHV = 0.8333 MSF LOS 'C' = 1690 pc/ph/pl SF...

    Quiz #30

Yes, if you were talking multilane highways, you would use the speed limit (plus some factor which I'm too lazy to look up). Problem specifically calls this a "freeway" on/off ramps spaced 2 miles (definition of uninterrupted flow). So yeah ..... calc the FFS

    Quiz #30

I'm not saying you are wrong..... This is a problem I'm reviewing, and your approach is different than the way I did it. I did just notice that my ET and ER were incorrect. So my fHV was jacked. Keep talking, post discussion in the forum.

    Quiz #30

A six-lane freeway in a rural location with rolling terrain has a posted speed limit of 65 mph. The freeway has 11-foot lanes with a 3-foot right shoulder and 11-foot left shoulder. An on and off ramp is located every 2 miles. 10% trucks and buses, 5% RV, and PHF=0.85. What is the maximum flow...

    PHF Mansour Practice Test

    I have D PHF = 0.90 4:15 - 5:15 950+1000+750+900 = 3600 3600/(4*1000) = 0.90

Help needed with clarifying NCEES topics (I-A Uninterrupted flow, I-B. Street segment interrupted flow)

    SSD/PSD on a Vertical Curve

There are a lot of questions in here, let me try to answer some. The way you calculate the Design speed as listed in your notes is correct. You can also do it by the K value, you will also get the correct answer. I think if you were to see the 'K' value approach you'd have a problem detailing...
