This. I will get $0 more as a PE. I don't need a PE and will be the same salary with or without it. (Fed Gov employee) But if I ever go to the Private sector it will be good.

I think they count it as NEC codes and standards as far as the # of questions on the syllabus.

The 68% is based on the final adjusted cut score. How many questions did you get right on the diagnostic? Knowing that, we can determine the cutscore. 

I won’t get mine till October, 6 months after taking/passing the exam I took in April. So, zero sympathy for your 6 week wait.  Just sayin. :(

Was it that hard for her to believe that an engineer actually read the 1-page test requirements guidelines? JFC. 

I'd be curious to see what the LOWEST pass score was in Texas, that would help identify the cut score. So far the highest fail I've seen on here was 49/80 (61%)  So so far we know the cutoff its between 61% and 91% (between 49/80 and 73/80)

Wow. Only 57% who took power passed. Damn that’s rough! Even lower if counting repeat test takers. I’m surprised they didn’t tweak the cut score to have at least 60% pass. Tough cut. Glad I made the coin flip. 

There are very few that have it as a specific requirement, but many job postings have it listed as an OPTION to qualify. Like “to meet the requirements of this xxxx position, qualified candidates must have an ABET accredited degree OR a valid PE license, OR 10 years engineering experience ” for...

Might help your case if you write down a regimented plan. You are working part time to allow xx hrs of studying per week and plan to study xx weeks for a total of xxx hours of focused study time. 

I need to call OSBEELS. The website and application are a bit confusing. It appears you can transmit your NCEES record if you are already licensed, like if you moved here from out of state and we’re already licensed, but not if you are a new first timer. Weird. I need all my college transcripts...

And also which state? Each state is different in their requirements for reattempts. Some might require you to retake some college courses. Some might be more lenient.
