    List ALL Your References

Just as the title says, list all the references you took with you for the exam as well as which exam you took. Mechanical: Thermal and Fluids 1. NCEES FE Reference Manual (2014) 2. Lindeburgh ME Reference Manual (2014) 3. Moran and Shapiro Intro to Thermodynamics, Tables Supplement (6th...

April PE - What did you think?

It's interesting to hear all the references people are using. For the ME Exam I literally only used two references (NCEES FE Reference Manual primary, Lindeburgh MERM backup) and two table sets (Shapiro Thermo Tables, Fox/McDonald Fluid Tables). On the ME exam I felt like most questions were...

    April 2015 ME Exam Thoughts

You know, I actually caught myself on a couple of the distraction answers when I did my second review of the questions. If there was a question I wasn't 100% sure on my method, I would underline it for review when I was done. I think I changed my answer on about 25% of those after further review.

Feel good about how you did on the exam?

Overall I feel pretty good about the Mechanical Engineering Thermal and Fluids Exam. Honestly though, I was surprised how much the practice exam and regular exam reused the basic concepts over and over again with just slight variations. I really asked myself a couple times, "Didn't I just solve...

    April 2015 ME Exam Thoughts

I'm sure we both did fine. I'm not going to worry about it until 8-10wks from now, haha.

    April 2015 ME Exam Thoughts

I do too. I felt really good about the test overall minus the one problem. I hate the waiting part though; it is going to seem like forever I am sure. Oh, since I can't post there, can you tell everyone in the April 2015 board that the pencil in Indiana was White with Blue Trimmings?

    April 2015 ME Exam Thoughts

So, I completed the April 2015 Mechanical Engineering: Thermal and Fluids Exam yesterday and I am feeling pretty good overall. It kind of scares me because I got a solution to all the questions except one, which I will get to in a minute. However, I am worried that I made "the simple mistake" on...

    General Pass Criteria

That is what I thought I remembered but was kind of disappointed I couldn't find in the MERM. I actually fought back and forth on the 2pi deal whilst taking the exam an ultimately convinced myself the wrong way.

    General Pass Criteria

Thanks to both of you for the information and vote of confidence. I reviewed all my missed questions and a couple of them were simple calculation errors and a couple were from the use of wrong units (is conversion of rad/sec to linear frequency for the spring mass problem). I only had to guess...

    General Pass Criteria

Yes, the NCEES Practice Exam 2011. It seemed way easier than the Lindeburgh Exam. I couldn't finish either section of Lindeburgh in the 4hr limit. I finished the General section of the NCEES test with 1:15 left and the Fluids/Heat Transfer section with 0:35 left.

    General Pass Criteria

So, I just finished taking the practice exam for next weeks PE exam in Mechanical Engineering Fluids and Heat Transfer. I scored a 33/40 on Part 1 and 35/40 on Part 2. In general, would these scores be considered a pass? Just trying to see how I am fairing overall.
