    Masters with no BSE

Pursuing the masters is up to the program that you apply for and what their education requirements are. It may just come down to taking additional courses that they consider essential before you can enroll in the program. This may vary scool by school.

    Home Improvement/Repair Questions

I'd suggest a sprinkler system but the glass may melt from the sun without an actual fire. I remember going to Thibodaux for Spring Break with Habitat for Humanity.  Sun was so strong several people got sunburned on lips and ears the 1st day.

    Home Improvement/Repair Questions

Do you have a picture of the washout? You mention 1/2" deep, is it just a cosmetic issue at this point that you are trying to correct?

Is an Environmental PE a Qualifying Reference for CA Civil PE Application?

After looking at the CA PE application,  the discipline specific PE is only required for CA work. Out of state work just needs to be certified by a licensed PE in the state you did the work in. For Masters degree, that is usually approved by transcripts since professors are not always PE's. The...

    NJ Dual PLS/PE Licensure

Check directly with the NJPELS, I think the other individual is wrong. The PLS exam is administered in testing center. State specific exam is given the morning of PE exam. You get 2 hours to complete it, and you get to use a wooden pencil. The NJ website shows this state specific exam on the...

    construciton PE Experience Description Help

I was in same boat as you after spending 5 years doing project management for a home residential/renovation company. However I still used it on my application and while it wouldn't count towards engineering experience,  I used the owner of the company as one of my personal references  ( in NJ...

    construciton PE Experience Description Help

That would make sense considering that you are pretty much doing design work in order to prove/disapprove something. Some states also allow you to use a Masters degree as 1 year towards your experience.

    construciton PE Experience Description Help

Considering the fact that a PE is allowed to sign off on engineering design documents, it makes sense to require actual design experience in order to become a PE.

Can you have a PE other than your supervisor verify your work experience?

Definitely check with the Board to get their official interpretation on the situation.  In terms of using the outside PE, it will ultimately come down to their knowledge of you, and your work. It's one thing if they are directly supervising you the entire project, it's a completely different...

    New Jersey License Numbers Out

The board does not control the distribution of the actual license.  You should have gotten letter from board with your number so you can order seal. Physical licenses are issued from Trenton, not Newark.

    PE Water Resources Study Schedule

Take a look at the websites for the review courses.  If I'm not mistaken, most if not all of them should show their class schedule for the review course they offer. You can use this as a starting point and then modify or mix/match the different schedules. My suggestion would try to focus on 1...

How to study for second time taking PE?

EET was awesome for construction depth and also helped with the am portion as there is overlap between AM and Construction depth. When you sign up with EET Construction,  you actually get access to their am review of the overlap topics.  From what I've heard about SoPE, it's more of a refresher...

    Home Improvement/Repair Questions

When I built my mom's deck, it wasn't so much the lumber as it was all the metal connectors required. The vinyl railings also add up pretty quick.

    Home Improvement/Repair Questions

The final determination will have to be made once you open the walls and ceiling ( or go in attic if it's a ranch). Contractor should have a good idea, but you never know for sure until you get framing exposed. Doing foundation plans for house's in flood zone, I've seen some crazy stuff once...

    Get approved for P.E. exam

Approval can vary by applicant. All depends on if everything is complete when submitted or if it's missing something.  For example, when I applied in NJ, 1 of my references signed the referral electronically and the board didn't really like it. So he had to send in a new form with a inked...

    Civil engineering dictionary

A dictionary could be helpful on some of the concept questions that they ask, especially if you are not familiar with what they are asking.  The answer could just be a matter of looking up the definition of the term. Like most references people bring to the exam, you may look at it once or...

    Thailand Soccer Team

The problem isn't just the water receding otherwise they'd already have it pumped out. This is the start of their rainy season, and they are expecting heavy storms at the end of the week which could refill the caves they've been pumping.

    Buying the codes/ standards

    Buying the codes/ standards

15th should be sufficient with some modification /additional notes made by you. On the PPI website, they mentioned what code references were updated in the new book. You should look at those codes and see what the changes were to the newer version and make sure your discipline is even using the...

    New Jersey License Numbers Out

This statistic is irrelevant to NJ. In NJ, the release of license numbers depends on the recipient sending in the completed form and payment. Once you pass the exam, the board does an application completeness review and then mails out a license activation packet to complete and return with fee...
