@texan How did you want to handle the study group?  I am not sure what options are available.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe Google Meet?? Maximum 100 participants, with a 60 minutes time limit. Maybe Zoom?? Maximum 100 participants, with a 40 minutes time limit.

I never did comment on the SEIS book (California Civil Seismic Building Design, 12th Edition) that mmarlow123 asked about.   This book does have a lot of great theory, and does NOT directly reference the CBC.  If you already have it, it is a great supplement.  If you are looking to purchase it...

 The references I mentioned are great for seismic theory and problems that are relevant to the exam.

I recommend the SEAOC manuals.  The 2012 steel is still valid. But you with need the 2015 for the other 3 volumes.  The 2018 seismic wind book by Alan Williams is another.  You just need to be cautious that it reference the 2016 AISC spec.  

I thought the concrete one was going to do me in, but it was the general one. I cannot recall what the general one was about.... I will be enrolling in the AEI course. 

Count me in for the study group. I was very disappointed in the PPI course this year.  With all the slide errors and publication issues, I feel it was worse than when I took the course in 2016, which also had slide errors.  DO NOT RECOMMEND PPI REVIEW COURSE. I did not pass the lateral this go...

I do not even recall what the general Lateral question was.  I got a U.  I had to re-read the concrete one about 5 times to make I understood the requirements and that was the one that was going to decide it for me. I got an IR on that one.

I believe you can have one IR, any more then that will not pass.  If you have a U, you do not pass.

Yeah, that concrete problem was a time cruncher for me.  But I got "Needs Improvement" on that concrete one, and "Unacceptable" on the wood/masonry.  FAILED. I cannot recall what that wood masonry was about...... I was very disappointed in the PPI course this year.  With all the slide errors...
