    Florida applications and questions

If the application is marked Board Approval, it must go to the Board. They do not review applications between meetings. The next meeting will be Dec. 12.

    Florida applications and questions

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. You should reach out to one of our licensure specialists who can answer that question. If you are seeking your Engineer Intern certificate, email Pam at [email protected]. If you have an EI certificate and are seeking your PE license, email Lisa at...

    Florida applications and questions

I don't have any details regarding the exam results. But I will pass along your concerns to our executive director.

    Florida applications and questions

Sorry for the delay in responding. I've been out of town. Florida doesn't license by discipline. As long as the experience was any sort of engineering and you have a licensed PE who can verify it, you should be good. If you have specific questions, you should reach out to Lisa Metcalf, our PE...

    Florida applications and questions

You'll have to reach out to your PE licensure analyst. I don't have access to the status info. Analysts are assigned by your last name: https://fbpe.org/contact/#licensure

    Florida applications and questions

There are two different avenues for approval of PE applications. The clear-cut applications (such as those with verified NCEES Records, MLE) can be approved by the executive director, which can occur at any time. Applications with questions about education, experience, or other issues must go to...

    Florida applications and questions

Yes, the Board accepts work experience while working abroad. Reach out to either Angie or Lisa (based on the first letter of your last name) for details. They have a better understanding of the licensure process and NCEES Records than I do. Their extensions and emails are at the link...

Florida license process - more transparency?

I apologize for the delay in your application. Typically it wouldn't take as long, but our executive director has been in the U.K. since the first of the month on an NCEES trip to meet with the British engineering counsel about licensure mobility. She returned over the weekend. I'm sure she has...

SE October 2023 - Waiting game

We've given NCEES permission to release the PE Structural results for Florida. Hopefully they will be available shortly. @Jbarker94

Florida license process - more transparency?

If you want to DM me your Florida PE number, I can check with the analysts to see what might have taken so long even though you used an NCEES Record.

    Florida applications and questions

It used to be that after three PE fails, the Board required you to take additional college credit. But since 2019, no, you can take it as many times in Florida as you need to pass it. We only look at whether you pass or not, not the number of times. (This is only in Florida; I can't say how...

    Florida applications and questions

Hi, everyone. I try to keep an eye on the forum here, but don't visit as often as I used to. If you have a Florida-related question, please tag me in it so that I get a notification. I'll try to respond as soon as I can. :)

Florida - How long to get license number after exam?

There was a Board meeting on Sept. 13, so hopefully your applications were in that batch reviewed then. If not, the next Board meeting is Oct. 11-12.

Florida license process - more transparency?

@Bassengineer, I just saw your post. (Sorry, I haven't been checking the forum as often as I did before the exams went CBT.) Typically, if you're using an NCEES Record as part of your application, the licensure process can be completed by staff without having to the Board. Once all the material...

    SE Exam Location (April '23)

NCEES hasn't released the actual location (other than Orlando/Kissimmee area, as you mentioned), and typically doesn't until several weeks before the exam date. We won't know any earlier either. Keep an eye on your NCEES account or your email for the update.

What's the benefit of NCEES record...

Having a complete NCEES Record helps speed the licensure process in general compared with someone who doesn't have a Record. But (and my comments only apply to Florida) applicants must still meet all of the requirements for licensure in Florida. If someone has a complete Record and clearly...

Greeting from Florida! Tips on Florida PE Application?

Congratulations on passing the PE exam! I encourage you to reach out to either Angie or Lisa, our two PE licensure analysts (which one would depend on the first letter of your last name). You can email or call them and they will answer any questions you have. The FBPE office is open 7:30 a.m...

    ASCE 7-22

Unfortunately, we can't answer that question. The Florida Building Code is developed by the Florida Building Commission. The new code should be coming in 2023, but we don't know what's changing and don't have any input.

SE April 2022 Exam Results Thread
