  1. I am planning to prepare all types of load calculation related questions, for example tributary area, live load, snow load, rain load, ice load, wind load, seismic and earth pressure load. I am using ASCE 7-10 for my first refernce. Can you suggest me any book or resources which I can use to practice different types of problems on load calculation?
  2. Thanks again @biffnater. I've bought all the references except AASHTO and AWS welding. I believe I'll be able to manage fairly without those two codes. Working on: 1. Structural analysis of beams and frames 2. Structural design focusing on Concrete, Steel, Wood and very basic problems of masonry design. My next focus will be thoroughly study the ASCE 7-10, especially wind and seismic load calculation.
  3. Thank you @biffnater. Do any of you remember using the NDS SDPWS specification?
  4. Is it worth spending time practicing on complicated wood connection problems (like Bolt Lateral - Single Shear Wood-to-Wood, Bolted Wood-to-Wood Tension Splice Connection) for the Structural depth exam?
  5. Do you suggest working on complicated wood connection problems (like Bolt Lateral - Single Shear Wood-to-Wood, Bolted Wood-to-Wood Tension Splice Connection) for the Structural depth exam?
  6. Thank you, @wiscse for your valuable suggestions. How did you prepare the temporary structures section?
  7. Thank you so much for your recommendation. I am taking EET depth only review course. Can you please give me some suggestion preparing for temporary structures? Do I need to buy ACI SP 4?
  8. TN. 46/80. AM: 27 /PM: 19. First attempt. I'd take again in April 2020. Looking for advice from colleagues for structural depth preparation. I have already created a thread for April 2020 exam preparation.
  9. Hello Everyone, I am planning to take PE Civil Structural exam in April 2020. I am a repeat test taker. In October 2019 exam I got 19/40 in the Structural depth and an overall score of 46/80 as per NCEES diagnostic. At first, I’m giving a brief introduction to my educational background. Then I’m trying to analyze my NCEES diagnostic. I am not looking for any shortcut but a smart way to pass the exam. I am in quest of your valuable advice and recommendation to prepare for my April 2020 exam. Though quite long, I believe this thread will help colleagues (other examinees) to prepare for PE exa
