Was submitting a comment to the board and got the following response:

There are several factors that are affecting application review timelines. Each application is adjudicated based upon its individual merits versus what is mandated by state regulation. Furthermore, the board is currently undergoing some transitioning. This may negatively impact application review temporarily. The board is working to address the issue and streamline the application review process.

As such I am unable to provide you a timeline. Rest assured the board and staff are working diligently to get all applications reviewed on a timely basis. “
Their out is that they never mention anywhere what the timeframe is. It's very aggravating that they are so non-committal

Did anyone get the license recently? I submitted 3 months back . It's still under board review.

I haven't posted on this forum in a long time, but I saw this thread so I figured I would add to it with my situation.

I submitted my New Jersey PE application by Comity on October 11th 2022. It was submitted for board review on October 18th, so i was hopefully of a fast turnaround.

On Jan 6th 2023 I received an email from them stating my application was deficient because I did not have at least one reference from someone that was a supervisor of mine. I had thought that my previous supervisors who endorsed my 10 years of experiences sufficed as references as well, but i guess I didn't read the requirements closely enough (my mistake, I get it). So, the following Monday, Jan 9th I sent them an additional reference letter filled out by a former supervisor.

Today is May 3rd, so we are almost at the 4 month mark and I have not received any additional word. I have emailed back and forth with one of the processors a few times, and although she is very nice and responsive, she is never able to provide any information beyond "your application is assigned to a board member, we will let you know when they are done".

So, in total I am at 7 months, but I guess technically I reset my clock when I had to submit that reference, so I am sitting at 4 months then.

I applied in August 2022 as a comity , they sent me in Jan 2023 want more technical information about my design experience so i sent them back in march but till today may 2023 i did not receive any feedback.

Have been 4 months since I submitted my application. Reached out and got the following responses. Anything else I should do?
“Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing how long the process will take, I apologize. As soon as the status of your application changes, you will be notified ASAP “

Got approved yesterday (5 months 5days)

Did you get approved after a board meeting or just a random day?
Hey, my application has been going on a ridiculous amount of time, and they keep tellIng me to continue waiting, nothing more needed on my end. It's been 6 months since the board provided me any response, and a year since I submitted my application. It's an absolutely ridiculous state, at this point you would think there would be a major issue that they'd tell me about, but rather it's just in review.

I called a senator, and he wrote a letter on my behalf, which was nice, hoping I receive some sort of response now.

What did they say 6 months ago? Have you tried commenting at a meeting?

They asked for my last semester schedule, because I used some experience from there. I responded shortly after with the info requested, and sent an updated NCEES with 5 years 8 months under PE.

Keith Miller informed me everything is in their possession and under review, no action necessary on my part. The issue is 6 months is a ridiculous time without any further update.

Have you looked at agenda for Thursday meeting? They are speaking about an application who received experience while going to school. They applicants name in agenda

Yeah, I did see that, and was thrown off as to why my application was never discussed. I am hopeful, because Keith said he will ask about my application during the meeting.
