Howdy! I just passed the Mechanical PE Exam (MDM) about 2 weeks ago and I am excited about submitting my application to the State of Florida for my PE License. Any advice on the PE Application process? Anybody familiar with the Florida process and timeline?

Thanks in advance and I’m happy to join EngineerBoards :)

I’m using the NCEES Record to submit the majority of my application. My biggest items to complete is wording my experience properly and making sure my FE & PE Results are verified by Florida.

I have only been at 1 company through all of my engineering experience, and want to make sure that I’m supposed to fit all 6.5 years of experience in 700 characters 🧐 (Per the NCEES Record Process)

Just throwing all this out there to see if anyone has gone through this same process successfully… I want to do this one time and one time only 😂

Congratulations on passing the PE exam!

I encourage you to reach out to either Angie or Lisa, our two PE licensure analysts (which one would depend on the first letter of your last name). You can email or call them and they will answer any questions you have. The FBPE office is open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time weekdays.

Thanks for the reply! I've been in contact with Angie before. My paper application was delivered to FBPE today and my NCEES Record has been released to FBPE also. I'll wait to hear back for any next steps.

Thanks again!
