I was under the impression that as long as you submit your re-exam form sometime in the last month of the quarter, you would be approved to sit for the exam the next quarter.
Yeah, if the last 3 months are any indication - results have been released in the first week of the month.
I also had to guess 8 or 9 on Survey. I hope I did enough for the pass.
On Seismic - a lot more straight forward. Had time to do each problem twice.

The way to apply it:
If your Ta > 1.5Ts then use Cs = 1.5Sd1/T * I/R.
If Ta < 1.5Ts, use the normal Cs = SdsI/R
(Ts = Sd1/Sds)

The 8-hr exam you passed is a national exam, I.E. it is valid for whatever state you would like to get licensed in. I recommend creating a "NCEES record" on the NCEES which speeds up the process to get licensed in many states. Note, most states outside of CA required 4 years of professional...
