Question about PE Civil - Structures Depth- Temporary Structures

Interesting...I'd think that'd be a more comprehensive reference than whatever is provided in the new handbook. Might work to your advantage as they can't get too crazy with the question...or the total opposite and they expect you to just know these things..

    CBT TESTING - 2022

I would tab as you go through the lessons with EET. There's such thing as overtabbing in my mind. You don't necessarily have to tab every single page. I went through and tabbed everything my first go around to the point where it wasn't helpful at all. I actually spent 2 nights before my exam...

Question about PE Civil - Structures Depth- Temporary Structures

I didn't take structural, but ACI SP-4 was the reference for the Construction exam. It covers formwork, falsework, shoring/reshoring (ACI347R) , bracing etc.

NJ Application Status - Stuck Pending

I've got a coworker in the same boat. He's having trouble as well. My thought is, this April/May is the start of a new biennial license renewal for current license holders. Everybody renews at the same time. IE, my license was issued on 1/15/21, supposed to be a 2 year license but my current...

Repeat Takers Strategies - Civil PE CBT

Das - Principles of Geotechnical Engineering is a great Geotech reference. Happened to have the book from college. I think it does a pretty good job explaining (simply) the concepts and contains some good examples. I don't recall really using it on the exam but I did have it with me. I took...

Which is best choice for PE construction course

EET for sure. And I wouldn't think of it as a waste of money. Its an investment in yourself and if you take the time to watch every lecture and put the time into studying it surely isn't a waste. If you pay all that money and take a laxed approach, then it is a waste. Taking a course doesn't...

October 2021 Post Exam Wait Period - Welcome to the Suck

Nope. Your application is now stuck in purgatory at the mercy of an NJ State Agency. If it doesn't come back up, you can always check teh DCA website for whoever your application liaison is and send them an email. No guarantees you'll get a timely response...

    PE Seal & Stamp

I got mine from Acorn as I saw the 30% off promo code banner here. I forget exactly which one i bought but the free digital seals was a nice bonus. And they send them in a few formats (.dxf, pdf, jpg and i think one more) so you can just plop it however needed.

How did it go? PE Civil Construction Oct 2019

I do not think the CMWB is "needed". I don't recall any questions on my exam (OCT 2020) requiring this. But there's nothing to say it won't show up on another exam. But, to me, it's such a minor topic that I'd think you'd see 1 maybe 2 questions max. So, I don't see that topic as the make or...

    Pe construction passing rate

Here's my two cents as someone who took the Construction exam and as stated above, spends more time in a field setting with a demanding work schedule. I believe the reason that the passing rate is low is because the exam covers such a broad spectrum of topics which touch on "a little bit of...

    Pe conceptional question

Correct - I award you an honorary Civil Online PE for your efforts. As you said, Statement I is false. If it were balanced, the Mass Haul Diagram would end on the axis (ie, zero). For 2 &3, you've got it. And for a little more convoluted way of looking at it, if the mass diagram has a...
