I thought it was two years of qualifying Civil experience. I was an ME but they asked me specifically to validate the two years of Civil experience. (I am now a Civil PE, so i recently went through the process)
This seems like such a common question. In my opinion, the board should charge a little more on all of their fees and upgrade their system instead of this manual opaque process- more akin to the NCEES website. I’m sure it is not cheap but this is the new millenium. Paper checks as the only...
Huh, i thought you could not take seismic and surveying unitl you recieved an Authorization To Take (ATT) the exams from the board after applying. Go figure. You are talking about civil, right?
I was in the same situation. I passed on second. I bought reza and cpesr. If i had to buy one, i’d say reza. Find many more practice exams and do them timed.
i will say the cost to retest is nearing the cost of a 2nd course, so you may consider doubling up and ensure you pass on the first. I...
I agree on the timing. I got really good at learning how to take that test- not surveying. If it was really important, they should have a practical where you had to do an actual traverse, and calculate something. The logistics of this seem hard however but the process of applying and getting...
I feel for you. It sucks. You are not alone. My last test was cancelled 3 times and invalidated once and took at least 9 mo too long during COVID. I finally got my # last week. I think they issued 100+ so i think they are indeed trying to catch up. However, I do agree the ENTIRE process is...
I get it. It was a super long process for me but I am finally done. It looks like they issued 130 licenses on 7/2 and part of that group luckily. (92690-92821) so seems they are making effort to get caught up.
I had to resubmit myself since i had a not normal civil experience. Just be more clear that from this timeframe to that timeframe you did x, y civil acitivities and it adds up to two years (you may need to prove you were under the purview of a civil pe in that timefrmame— i was)
