I just recieved my certificate and am about to order my stamp supplies. Are there certain colors that I have to use? Like only blue and black? I live and work in Maryland. I want to use red ink so that the seal can be seen easily. I think I have seen red seals before but I am not sure.

I work in Georgia and I have a blue and a black stamp. We often stamp drawings and then scan them so they can be emailed to clients and the black stamp scans better. Some states may require a red stamp or a raised stamp. I recommend checking with Maryland's state office. But, if you scan sealed documents, I recommend buying a black stamp.

I am also from MD and have some info.

As you might know, MD also now requires an additional certification stamp on your documents stating your PE number and expiration date. Some of the stamp companies have these already prepared for MD.

Also, some companies use a simplified MD seal at the center of your stamp and some have the intricate seal, don't know how well that will come out in a stamp?

Anybody have any experiences with MD stamps or other?

these guys have the intricate seal;

Any one have any stamp related info?

I called the board. They don't care what color. I chose red and black. They did offer rainbow but I felt that it wasnt professional.

I ordered my stamps from StampXpress http://www.stampxpress.com

I am having them make a custom stamp for the professional certification.
