CBT_MECH_TFS exam day/resources

Does any one have any reports as to whether scratch paper is provided or not? I have heard from those that took CBT_FE that it is a white board and dry erase marker at the Vue test center instead of actual scratch paper? I took the FE other disciplines at the last paper issuance and scratch paper was provided then. A white board sort of defeats the purpose of being able to save any progress or work on a particular problem. The NCEES examine guide makes it sound like there ought to be a "reusable booklet" of some sort which I would prefer for tracking work during the exam in the event I need to move on or circle back. https://ncees.org/wp-content/uploads/ExamineeGuide_November-2019.pdf 

Also does anyone know with the "searchable" reference book if the search function will accept wild cards like % or * to aid in searching/filtering?

Hi. This is late, and you may have already taken it by now, but when I took the FE, we were given a "dry erase board" type thing. I am assuming that is the same thing they use for the PE.
