As a Head of Production System Design, you will manage a small team and will be responsible for the full strategic and implementation accountability for the development, integration and delivery of the Air Sector Production System ensuring standardisation across all areas of manufacturing whilst embedding Lean Principles to remove waste, increase efficiency and effectiveness
This newly created role will provide you with a unique opportunity to set the direction for current and future projects, working across Hawk, F35 and Typhoon platforms within the UK and internationally.
Your main responsibilities as a Head of Production System Design will involve:
Accountability for creation and implementation of a Manufacturing Production System design model across the Air Sector businesses
Responsible for creation and continuous improvement of the Strategic paper for the implementation of the Production System
Conduct current and future state analysis including but not limited to Review of all input metrics, Validation of Demand v Capacity within business and Adherence to standards and processes
Project Manage the implementation of the agreed Production System across LOB’s ensuring visible flow and standardisation within the business
Creating and delivery of a cultural change programme within the LOB’s to reinvigorate lean learning and continuous improvement principles
Developing a set of standard visual management KPI’s for all LOB’s and implementation strategy
Generating and facilitating a training portfolio of support aligned to Production System implementation.
Single point of ownership for all Manufacturing areas regarding Production System Governance (queries/questions).
