Hi all,

So I am looking for some feedback and recommendations. I live in MA and have taken the SE test once with unsuccessful results. Then I took the CT PE Test (Structural afternoon) and I feel I was a few questions (in the afternoon) away from a passing score.

My problem is that I primarily do only bridge inspection and bridge rating. I have no building experience, little experience with design for masonry, structural steel connections and timber.

Given this, I am thinking about studying for the PE Test (Transportation). For most of my work, a PE stamp alone is really the only thing needed I don't need the specific structural stamp.

Thanks in advance for the recommendations!!

PE Structural is very very heavy on building and very very light on bridge, I'd think go for Transportation fits your situation better. If you can prove competency for what you're stamping based on experience, I don't see an issue.
