Principal Engineer
I received word yesterday that, after studying for about 16 hours a week for 4 months, I passed the electrical and computer FE!
As many on here already advise, I will forever strongly recommend that aspiring engineers take it just before or right after graduation as there was a TON of material I had to relearn. This test was hard enough but add in family, full-time employment in a stressful environment, a title/responsibility change and the fact that my college education was spread out over 8 years concluding nearly 4 years ago and it seems insurmountable . In all honesty, I did not think I had passed when I walked out of the room but, lo and behold, I am now anxiously waiting to register for the PE when open in November!
