As a Senior Electromagnetics Scientist you will be required to assist in the expansion of the Electromagnetics capability within the ATS Microwave Materials business through the design and development of new and emerging technologies including antenna design and integration
This role will provide you with excellent career progression opportunities and you will be fully supported in your development within BAE Systems
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Electromagnetics Scientist will involve:
Forming part of a team which maintains and builds the Electromagnetic design & measurement capabilities for the Microwave Materials business in line with strategic requirements
Working with other ATS specialists to provide expertise and support to key programmes
Having specific responsibility for development projects from concept design through to manufacture
Building customer relationships to assist in ensuring effective project delivery and identifying new business opportunities in line with the ATS business strategy
Your skills and qualifications:
Possess a sound understanding of Electromagnetic theory and principles. Knowledge of microwave electronics would also be beneficial
Electromagnetic simulation experience is desirable including antenna design
Familiar with the use of microwave test equipment such as vector network analysers
Familiar with recognised industry standards and techniques for microwave measurement including
Radar Cross Section
Competent in the use of MS Office packages
Substantial industrial experience
Member of a recognised technical body ideally with Chartered status is desirable
