As a Test Technician, you will be part of an integrated manufacturing team, testing product to set target times within the project schedule. There may be some migration of this skill into other Technician disciplines such as inspection, fitting and/or wiring.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting products and exposure to dealing with complex electronic interfaces. We have the widest product portfolio of products throughout BAE Systems.
Your main responsibilities as a Test Technician will involve:
Carrying out test and fault finding on a variety of new and mature analogue and digital electronics products such as Pilot Displays, Flight Controls and Flight Computers.
Fault find to component level using appropriate circuit diagrams and test equipment when a failure is identified.
Recognise target and turnaround times and maintain compliance to each.
Maintain good standards of housekeeping.
Your skills and qualifications:
· Electrical HNC/HND or equivalent qualification / experience.
· The ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
· Testing and diagnosing faults experience
· IT Literate
Experience of fitting, inspection or wiring would also be beneficial
