Thoughts on the new 80 question exam?

Recommended Posts

Not asking for specifics on questions! :) Just looking to hear how repeat takers and first timers thought it was.

This was my second time taking the exam and I felt much, much less stressed having so much more time to answer all the questions. I felt the difficulty was pretty much in line with October 2017, although air seemed a little more tricky this time.

Fingers crossed I never have to look at the exam again..

Clear something up for me:  Did this exam use the new NCEES reference manual, and prohibit any other references?  Or is that for the next exam cycle?

That is for the CBT which starts April 2019.  April 2018 and October 2018 are still pen/paper, but with 80 questions instead of 100, and still allow references.

Oh, OK.  In that case, I bet the 80-exam question seemed like a big change from the 100-question version.
