Two new roles, reporting to the Head of Quality, have been created as part of a new Quality Team Strategy.
QA MANAGER
The Challenge
Leading a small team, your role will be to:-
• Deliver best in class product quality and reliability exceeding market expectations.
• Maintain relevant certifications whilst promoting continual improvement and business-wide adoption of the management system by deploying quality toolboxes and philosophies.
• Support the overall culture transition towards process owners building quality into their processes and designs.
• Ensure that internal and external customer requirements are identified and exceeded whilst championing multi-disciplined quality improvement initiatives.
The Candidate
• Almost certainly an Engineering Graduate, you must have in depth quality management experience gained in a complex, medium or low volume design to order manufacturing environment.
• You are also likely to be CQI qualified and able to contribute reasoned and constructive thinking as part of multi-disciplined technical discussions.
• Will be a highly driven, results oriented team player able to win the hearts and minds of key stakeholders throughout the business.
QC MANAGER
The Challenge
Leading an inspection team of 21, your key responsibilities will be to:-
• Continually improve the quality of business processes and products by identifying opportunities and implementing change.
• Support the overall culture transition towards process owners building quality into their designs and processes.
• Identify and implement significant projects which improve the overall effectiveness of “inspection” within the business.
• Identify CAPEX opportunities for improved in-line inspection.
The Candidate
• Likely to be a Mechanical Engineering Graduate or with equivalent experience, supported by formal quality training.
• Ideally an IRCA Certified Auditor, you will be a skilled interpreter of engineering drawings.
• Agile and driven, you must be responsive to changing business priorities and able to robustly stand your ground when appropriate.
