Hi,

let us assum 100 efficient regenerator in Bryton cycle and the temperature leaving compressor and entering regenerator is 1034R and temperature leaving regenerator and entering combustion chamber is 1684R and the exhaust temperature leaving turbine and entering regenerator is 1735R what is the exhaust temperature leaving the regenerator ?

Hi,

The problem as presented is ill-posed.

You are providing enough information to calculate the regenerator efficiency yet you are also giving its value.

From the definition of effectiveness e=(1684-1034)/(1735-1034) = 92.7% (not 100% as in your problem statement).

If you're interested in the exhaust gas temperature at the regenerator discharge you need to perform an energy balance:

(1684 - 1034) = (1735 - T)

T=1085R
