Hi All! I recently obtained my PE. I was wondering if I should purchase malpractice insurance or some other form of insurance to protect myself. What do you think?

 
If you plan on stamping plans, you really should have insurance. If you work for a company and they want you to stamp, the should provide insurance. If you're starting you own company and/or stamping work on the side, you should provide insurance for yourself.

 
"Errors and omissions" insurance, commonly called "E and O"

And yes, most good firms provide it.
