Here is a quick write up of how I get my FREE other certifications Continuing Educations credits.

1.  Certified Construction Manager (CCM) – 25 Renewal Points (RP’s required every 3 years)

One of the ways to earn credit is as follows:

Continuing Education Units for Industry State Issued License(s) 1 point per hour – you can count your PE PDH’s as CCM RP’s also (There is a separate subforum on PDH’s so you can go there to get this information on PDH's)

As long as you keep up your PDH’s, no additional Continuing Education is required to keep this certification current.

2.  Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) – requires 32 Continuing Professional Development  (CPD) hours every two years:

I get mine from here:  https://www.aecdaily.com/

Almost all the training is AIC accredited as CPC CPD’s.

3.  LEED Accredited Professional (AP)

Requires 30 CE (Continuing Education) Hours every 2 years.  24 can be General and 6 need to be LEED specific.  I can get my General CE’s here:   https://www.aecdaily.com/

Note:  I use the same training provider and classes for my LEED AP General CE’s and my CPC CPD’s. For LEEP CEU's, make sure that you pick the GBCI certification when picking out your classes. Also, they do have some LEED Specific Training available, but there is generally a fee for those classes.

4.  Professional Management Professional (PMP) - 60 Professional Development Units required every three years.

I joined PMI for the first year.  One of the perks is that you get premium access to this site:

https://www.projectmanagement.com/

They offer live and recorded webinars.  Most are at 60 minutes and count as 1 PDU’s.   I believe there a few webinars you can get free access to here even if you do not belong to PMI.

Podcasts:  I get the majority of my PDU’s from Podcasts.  I download/subscribe to them and listen I am hiking, working out, etc.

Note: Most of these podcasts are with Management/Business book authors who are conducting interviews to get interest in their books.

There is a free and paid option.  I go for the free option and get access to the last 10 podcasts.

Note:  The website explains how to submit your PDU’s to PMI to get PDU credit.  They also provide a spreadsheet template and instructions in case your podcast PDU’s get audited by PMI.  Also note that not all podcasts count as CEU’s.  You need to check the specific episode in the episode spreadsheet to see if it counts.

I go for the free option and have access to about 181 podcasts.  The podcasts normally count between .25 PDU’s to 1.0 PDU’s.  They also include a spreadsheet template for keeping track and reporting your PDU’s.

The last podcast was in October 2016, but are still relevant. I really enjoyed the interview with the former Delorean Motors President.  It was not the typical interview.
