Hello everyone,

my name is Georgiana, I'm from Romania. I'm a Civil Engineer and I've been in USA  for almost two years.

I'm a young and passionate Engineer , and I'm still trying to figure how to become a successful engineer here.

I recently find out about EIT/FE exam and I'm very interested in getting my license. I joined this forum to get in teach with other engineers, and learn from their experience.

Welcome! And yes, a good place to start is with familiarizing yourself with NCEES and their examination processes.

Thank you! Yes, I went online and looked for all the information I could get.

I'm a little confused because I don't really understand if for the F.E. exam I will have to study just my field, or it will be like a general engineering exam? Do I have to study Chemistry, Computers, Electronics ...

Also, it's been 4 years since I graduated and I can't say that I'm in my best shape.
Can someone please tell me what  would be the best way to approach this. I'm height motivated, I'm ready  to study hard, but I don't know where to start. I downloaded the book from NCEES, but I don't know if that's enough, it doesn't feel like it's enough form me.

If someone can give me an advise, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you !

The topics you study depend on which FE exam you want to take. If you want to take the Civil FE, you'll study these topics (http://ncees.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/FE-Civil-CBT-specs.pdf), if you take the General FE, you'll study these topics (http://ncees.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/FE-Other-CBT-specs-1.pdf). You choose which one you want to take when you register for the exam.

There are lots of studying resources available:http://ppi2pass.com/https://www.amazon.com/Indranil-Goswami/e/B004D1IPOU

You might also consider taking a review course as well.

Aha... Thanks a lot.. I will buy the books and start working on it... :reading:
I appreciate your help.
Thanks again :thankyou:

You're welcome. Good luck with your studies.
