About Our Client
Mahr is one of the largest manufacturers of Metrology equipment in the world. Their equipment is of the highest precision and can measure components to as low as half a micron.
Their products are used by some of the most well-known companies within the Automotive, Aerospace, Medical and Precision Engineering industries. They are looking for a confident, technically astute individual to help them set up a distributor network across The UK and Ireland.
Job Description
As an organisation Mahr boasts a large portfolio of hand held Metrology tools such as Calipers, Micrometers and other Measuring and Inspecting Equipment, all of which have the capacity to be sold at an extremely high volume through a distribution network set up by the successful candidate for this role. Your day to day tasks will include, but not be limited to:
- Meeting with industrial equipment distributors
- Pitching for business, often at Stakeholder level
- Promoting sales of Mahr's products ahead of their competitors
- Ensuring distributors are selling Mahr's products in keeping with their features and benefits
- Attending exhibitions and sales meetings where necessary to ensure products are sold sufficiently
The Successful Applicant
As a company who pride themselves on the utmost precision, Mahr requires a highly commercial Sales Engineer to enable sales of their Metrology equipment to flourish across The UK & Ireland. The successful applicant for this role will possess the following criteria:
- A degree in Engineering- highly desirable
- Living in The Midlands
- Experience of selling highly technical equipment
- Commercially astute and accustomed to selling at Stakeholder level
- Demonstrable success in a technical sales role
- Experience selling Precision Gauges/Equipment, or have used them in your career- also highly desirable
