Job Description
My automotive client is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager for their West Midlands facility who will bring a demonstrable track record of Operational and General Management, leading successful multi-functional teams to achieve business results through Quality, Cost and Delivery.
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for delivering world-class levels of manufacturing excellence to exceed customer demands and requirements in a fast paced automotive manufacturing environment.
You will also be expected to deliver the Operational Strategy in line with the rest of the group and will be the key driver in embedding the culture of continuous improvement and high performance. You will be expected to bring a results-oriented management style and be able to create a clear expectation and accountability system throughout the plant.
This role will require the successful incumbent to bring the right level of tenacity and drive to exceed expectations and be comfortable being held accountable for the continued turnaround of the Operation.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Candidate will be-
- Degree qualified in a relevant manufacturing / engineering discipline
- Experienced within Operations/General management and ideally within automotive, managing multiple functions/departments such as assembly, logistics and press. Candidates from a non automotive, high volume/ fast paced environment will also be considered
- Proven track record in Operational leadership of multi- functional teams
- Able to demonstrate Outstanding leadership skills through championing accountability, maximising team and individual strengths, seeking and implementing change and aligning with critical business objectives
