The Lead Professional plays a pivotal role in supporting, planning and delivery of infrastructure maintenance and development of the County's highway network assets.

To manage the development and maintenance of a 10-year transport asset management plan, including the co-ordination and development of asset inventory data for all assets, condition data, deterioration modelling, lifecycle plans, whole-life costs and service levels to meet national standards.

To manage the provision of specialist advice at a County-wide level; to underpin the Asset Management function within the Highways & Transport Service and across the organisation, implementing statutory responsibilities and duties, and ensuring that the specialist issues are considered in terms of wider County objectives, to a high customer focused standard.

In liaison with the Asset Manager and team, undertake on-going review of works delivery planning to produce an optimised programme. Work in liaison with the Infrastructure Manager and other highways managers to achieve the successful planning and delivery of annual programmes, on time and within budget.
