Hi Guys,

So I failed Geo with a 48/80.

What reference books did you guys use?

I have principles with Das, and foundation with Das. My main two reference books for afternoon.

I am looking for a book with better info on deep foundations, retaining walls, MSE walls and site investigation.

So far I found on this site:

1st choice:

Foundation Design: Principles and Practices (2nd Edition) Hardcover – July 20, 2000
by Donald P. Coduto (Author)

2nd tie
Soils and Foundations (8th Edition) Hardcover – August 4, 2013
by Cheng Liu (Author), Jack Evett Ph.D. (Author)
2 customer reviews

Essentials of Soil Mechanics and Foundations: Basic Geotechnics (7th Edition) Perfect Paperback – September 2, 2006
by David F. McCarthy P.E. (Author)

Also I have completed multiple times Goswani, 6 minute solutions, ncees practice and goswani practice tests. So instead of backtracking and doing what I have worked on I bought:

Geotechnical Depth Practice Exams for the Civil PE Exam (PPI) Email to a Friend

and I was planning on continuing with
Civil PE Practice Examination (CEPE5), 5th Edition (also PPI) Email to a Friend

Are these books good? I know some people have said they are much more difficult than the real exam. Which is what I'm looking for.

Thanks
