Sidney B. Bowne & Son, LLP is seeking a Mid-Level Civil/Water Resources Engineer to join our team in our Mineola, NY office.
A bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering is required. Preference will be given to those who possess a strong background in water resources engineering.
Minimum requirements include demonstrated ability in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design. Knowledge of structural and geotechnical design concepts, analytical laboratory techniques, and familiarity with codes and regulations related to drinking water and water pollution control are a plus. Familiarity with computer applications including AutoCAD, GIS, and water and sewer hydraulic modeling software is a plus.
Candidates should be familiar with a broad range of issues related to water systems including master planning, treatment, transmission and distribution. Design experience is required.
Qualifications include 5 to 10 years experience and PE registration or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
