How can I find the storage length for a certain traffic volume as per AASHTO / MUTCD / HCM?

Storage Length (ft) = [25*V*K(1+PT) ] / Nc

There is also an alternate eqtn that takes into account the average vehicle length.

See ITE handbook for definition of above variables.

Remember, the ITE Handbook has been removed from the NCEES Transpo references starting this exam cycle (Apr '13).

 
Is there a storage length equation in the HCM or the Green Book. The HCM talks about it but doesn't give an equation>
