My unbiased study tip for all first time takers and people who have failed, start studying now and i have the books that will help you 
for sale these study books for the "Fundamentals of Engineering Test". My price is $100 (OBO) via paypal and I pay for shipping. Ideally I sell them all at once, but also willing to sell single books. I passed the test the first time, so these books really are all you need.
EIT Reference Manual 8th Edition (this still is the current version despite its age)
