EDIT: Posted in wrong forum, please move to Electrical PE exam section.

Good morning all. I am new to the boards and wanted to thank you all in advance for your help.

On to my first question...

From what I've read here and on other boards, the Power PE exam uses the 2011 NEC. I have a 2008 handbook, as well as a 2011 code book. 99% of the time I use my handbook as it is conveinently tabbed. However, if the exam references the 2011 code, will the 2008 handbook be of any help to me during the test?

If i was you i would go safe and bring a 2011 copy. Probably 2008 would be enaugh..but in this test i wouldnt gamble..you could regret at the exam day.

I would get a 2011. Like wildsoldier said, I wouldn't want to risk it with this test. I know a lot of table numbers have changed from 2008 to 2011 so that could be something that might get you tripped up and I'm sure there are other things I can't think of right now.
