Hello,

I have a question to the folks that have already taken the PE Chemical Exam. Are the physical properties typically provided in the problem statetement?? For example in a heat balance... do I need to look for the heat of formations? heat capacities? etc in my reference book's tables. If so I need to become extremely familiar with the location of all these tables.... Thank you!!

really depends on the question. If it was a question where that information was needed to solve something else then it was usually given to avoid differences in the way people read charts. If the question was intended to test your chart reading ability then it was a look up situation.
