Universal excuse 3: I just wanted to warn her of the dangers of the internet.

1 & 2 are far more common than 3.

 
Well, as far as it goes, he did not commit a crime. I am not defending him and do not approve his conduct but have to ask; What is the big deal about this? It is not the first and, that is for sure, will not be the last one. Typical National Enquirer thing.
