PE continuing education requirement

In Califonia we don't have a continuing education requirement. I have an NCEES record and loking to become licensed as needed in additional states. I've noticed that some have said requirement. My question is how rigorous is it? Also, can you "double dip" and count the same education for mulitiple states or does each have unique requirements?

I think it really depends on the state. I think there a few people around here with multiple state PEs with PDH requirements. Might just be a matter of waiting for them to log on

 
Same education can count for multiple states while others may not. Some states also require different types of education (x amount of hours in ethics is required by certain states I believe)
