I had access to the 05 version from work, so I used that; but for what was asked, I would have been fine with the 02. Good luck. Most of the changes deal with the seismic inspections, IIRC.

There were some load combination changes between the 02 and 05 along with a few other things. New code is now based off the 08, at least here in California. So do not recommend you get the outdated 05. If you are not taking structural I think you are fine as long as you mark the major changes in ur code.
